Suzanne Sharer

Early Life

I was born and raised in Arizona when the state was known for its good old-fashioned Barry Goldwater conservatism. My passion for Arizona and our country came from listening to my parents and grandparents talk about the issues of the day as we gathered around the dinner table. There were six children in my family and my parents made it a point to teach us that the American dream comes from personal responsibility, hard work and faith. We were taught that being an American was something to cherish.

After graduating from Arcadia High School, I married young and began working full time while attending Scottsdale Community College for marketing and communications. All too soon I had to leave school to support my new family and shortly after that found myself as a single mother working two jobs to raise my two young boys. This was a difficult time yet it was also a very happy time in our lives and I thank my parents to this day for the conservative principles that I was raised on that gave me the resolve and fortitude which helped me to get through those difficult periods and become the strong and independent survivor that I am today.

My Life in Politics

My strong passion for politics has really stuck with me. I’ve taken that passion and used Facebook as an outlet to connect with those who share my opinions and plenty of those who do not. Even though I’ve never held elected office, I’ve been able to gain over 16,000 friends and followers combined as of January 2020.

Politichicks, Political Vanguard and talk radio stations KFYI and KTAR have published my blogs and has me on to talk politics. All the media attention is fun and interesting, but I’ve also been hard at work on the front lines of the Republican Party for years.

  • Precinct committeeman for the Republican Party in LD 18
  • Goldwater Institute’s Real Estate Gifts Committee member
  • Served as 1st Vice Chair for the Ahwatukee Republican Women’s Club
  • Served as 2nd Vice Chair for the LD18 GOP
  • Selected for the Dodi Londen Excellence in Public Service leadership program for women class of 2013
  • Currently serving as commissioner on the Ahwatukee Village Planning Committee

My Life Today

I’ve been lucky to have a great career in real estate. For the last 28 years I’ve been a licensed realtor where I have been privileged to be a part of the tremendous population growth in Arizona.

While raising my two wonderful boys, I was fortunate to meet the father of my amazing daughter. In everything I do, I always put my children first and recently celebrated the birth of our first grandchild.

Arizona has been a wonderful place for me and my siblings to have grown up in. From our quality public school systems and economic opportunities to a friendly, safe environment I knew that naturally Arizona was where I would choose to call home for my family for many years to come. My vision is for a stronger, safer, more united Arizona for us all!
